So when one tours France, Lille, Paris and Marseille should only be some of the names on your list.
A Guide to Hotels in France
TourFrance.com has had the pleasure of staying in some of the swankiest abodes across France from the ocean of Corsica to the suburbs of Paris, but as any good tour guide does, we've also stayed in places to suit everyone's budget too. Going slightly against the grain compared to usual rankings, French hotels are mainly rated between 1 and 4 stars, but we recommend checking out hotels online before booking. Like many countries in the world, if you look for a hotel slap bang in the middle of the city centre, you'll probably find something a little on the small side and more luxury hotels can be found slightly further out of town and an average room will set you back around 100 Euros per night.
Why People Visit Marseille
From all the many things to see and do in Marseille, one of the best nights out we had here was a visit to the Stade Velodrome to see the home side Olympique de Marseille romp to victory in a classic European night. Although football isn't everyone's idea of a great night out, the atmosphere in the stadium gave us an insight into the local culture and we strongly recommend it. But far away from the pitch, there are so many prestigious sights to see, parks to stroll, views to bask in as well as all the ports to peruse during your stay.
